The Newton Industrial Group focuses on the increasing demand for innovative solutions in environmental technologies and instrumentation. Current developments include a portable version of the Newton Carton Tester, an economical thermal store that has been designed specifically for integrating solar water heating systems and combi-boilers and a highly innovative aeration system for the treatment of waste water that is being developed in conjunction with United Utilities. Newton Industrial is an industry partner in a European wide study (Remplanet) into resilient manufacturing. This involves 6 research bodies and 6 manufacturing companies throughout Europe researching and testing product customisation techniques and open innovation methodologies. A brand new Portable Carton Tester has just been introduced after 12 months of development. As the instrument is battery powered and light, users can now measure crease strength and springback force etc at the place of manufacture or storage. Go here for more information.
