R&D with Clients
At Newton, we strongly believe in working with our clients; firstly to understand their needs and then to develop appropriate solutions.
Newton Instruments was formed 35 years ago to supplement the research and development needs of major companies including Lever Bros. One of its first products, The Galley Sampler, was developed in conjunction with Unilever for Lever’s detergent manufacturing throughout the world. Today, the Galley Sampler is the industry standard high volume enzyme monitoring system
In a similar way Unilever approached Newton when they had a problem within their packaging plants. A joint collaboration developed the Newton Torque and Friction Tester which is used throughout the world by packaging suppliers and their customers to measure the strength of creases in packaging.
More recently a solar water heating company was looking for an organisation to help with the development and then to manufacture a patented solar water system. Newton Instruments was able to provide the development and manufacturing expertise to turn this design into of the UK’s leading systems.
Our expertise in mechanical, electronic, pressure, optical, hydraulic and sustainable technologies has helped us provide solutions for complicated problems Extensive use of CAD drawing facilities and CNC machining; coupled with our experience in semi-automated riveting, welding, sheet metal working and fabrication, makes Newton a one-stop-shop.
If you desire a world class solution, Newton is the organisation you are looking for. No development is too small or large for Newton Industrial Group.
