Software Setup
Set up of the Software on the Newton Carton Tester is a simple 3 step process:
- Input Specifications
- Set Up Test
- Run Test & View Analyses.
Software Screenshots for each of these stages are presented below.
1) Input Specifications

It is critical that in order to control the quality of cartons, specifications are set against which performance is measured. The software allows you to set up minimum and maximum specifications for friction and peak torque, peak torque angle and spring back force for each crease
2) Set Up Test

For each test, you can set up a series of parameters that are stored against that test. These are
- Customer
- Supplier
- Batch Number
- Die Number
- Other
During analysis of tests you may find that a number of creases are performing differently. Storing these parameters against each test allows you to see whether they originated from a different supplier, batch or die. All this data is stored within an Access database and can be retrieved either using the built-in Excel reports or you can create your own reports using MS Access.
3) Run Test & View Analyses

From this screen you can select the parameter that you wish to analyse
.
Many of their suppliers have also used the Newton Carton Tester to ensure that their cartons meet the specifications set.
